As you know, PowerPoint is a program that lets you create onscreen slide show presentations.
A Quick Tour
The PowerPoint screen is comprised of the following objects:
Title Bar
The Title bar appears at the top of the screen and displays the title of the open presentation.
Menu Bar
The Menu bar displays the menu. You use the menu to select the controls and commands you want to use.
Standard and Formatting Toolbars
PowerPoint has several toolbars that provide shortcut alternatives to menu commands. The most commonly used toolbars are the Standard and Formatting toolbars.
You use the Standard toolbar to do things like open, save, and print a file; to check spelling; to cut, copy, and paste screen objects; to undo and redo steps; or to insert an objects like images, charts or a tables.
You use the Formatting toolbar to change the font, font size or font color; to add font decoration (bold, underline, or italics, etc.); set text alignment (left, right, centered, or justified; to create bulleted or numbered lists; change text position (indentation), etc.
