John Philip
Nicholas Liebrich was born in Mannheim, Germany, in 1747. He
arrived in Philadelphia on September 25, 1754, on the ship "Adventure" from
Hamburg, Germany, with his father, Johannes Philip.
John and
his wife, Catharine Frank, were married in Dauphin County,
Pennsylvania. They lived in Manheim, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania,
and had nine children, among them four sonsJohn, Daniel
Henry, John Philip and Georgeand five daughtersAnn
Margaret, Elizabeth, Catherine, Maria, and Salome.
